About Us

Adequate nutrition is an integral part of physical/mental functioning, health, happiness, independence, and quality of life for all humans. To assist in this endeavor, Aging Projects, Inc. Meals on Wheels/Friendship Meals provides nutritious, well-balanced meals to senior citizens 60(+) years of age in thirteen counties in Central and South Central Kansas.

API has been providing this service for over 40 years. Our Meals are certified by a licensed dietitian and meet 1/3 of the recommended daily intake for individuals 60 (+). These meals are provided in congregate settings or through home delivered services. There is no charge for the meal, however there is a suggested $4.00 contribution.

Additionally, API provides opportunities for participant socialization through other activities available at the sites. Our staff also assists the seniors in locating other services in the community, or within the state that can assist them in remaining independent for as long as possible.
